"One of the things I've always enjoyed is finding new places to work from. A change of scenery can often bring a fresh perspective, spark new ideas, and provide the inspiration needed to tackle the next challenge."

This summer, I've discovered a fantastic local spot at Lydden Hill Race Circuit. Better known for its motorsport heritage, it also offers something many remote workers, consultants, and business owners are constantly searching for: a relaxed environment, reliable mobile signal, good coffee, and plenty of space to think.

When I need to step away from the laptop, there's a bonus โ€” a full walk around the circuit. At just over a mile, it's the perfect opportunity to clear the mind, stretch the legs, and return to work with renewed focus. And in this current heatwave, a fabulous breeze blows down through the valley around Lydden Hill. Why sweat behind a desk when you don't have to?

"Sometimes the best ideas don't come from sitting behind a desk all day. They come from changing your surroundings, getting outdoors, and giving yourself the space to think differently."

Business Doesn't Always Have to Happen in a Boardroom

At Trigger Consultancy, we believe the best conversations often happen away from the office. Over the coming months, you'll often find us working from one of Kent's most iconic venues โ€” Lydden Hill Race Circuit. Steeped in motorsport history and recognised around the world as the birthplace of Rallycross, it's a venue with real character, an incredible atmosphere, and surprisingly excellent facilities for catching up over a coffee.

With ample free parking, reliable mobile coverage, great refreshments, indoor and outdoor seating, and the opportunity to take a walk around the famous one-mile circuit between meetings, it's the perfect setting to escape the office and have productive conversations in a relaxed environment. The Food Bay is open weekdays throughout the summer from 10:00โ€“15:00.

Business is built on relationships, and relationships are built through conversations. So if you're a business owner, contractor, consultant, or simply someone looking to connect with like-minded professionals โ€” why not come and join us?

Come and Meet Us at Lydden Hill

Grab a coffee (other beverages are available) and have a proper conversation โ€” the kind that's difficult to have on a Zoom call.

Take a walk around one of Britain's most historic race circuits โ€” over a mile of fresh air and open views across the Kent Downs.

Share ideas and solve problems โ€” or simply discover new opportunities to work together in a genuinely inspiring setting.

Send us a direct message to arrange an informal meet-up. No agenda, no sales pitch, no pressure โ€” just a great conversation.

What We Can Talk About

If you're local and fancy a coffee, a walk, or simply an informal catch-up โ€” whether to discuss your business challenges or just make a new connection โ€” we'd love to hear from you. The topics we're happy to explore are as wide as the Kent Downs themselves.

Sometimes the best business decisions start with nothing more than a great conversation in an inspiring location. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces this summer โ€” and hopefully making plenty of new connections too.

About Lydden Hill Race Circuit

Founded in 1955, Lydden Hill is one of only two FIA-grade motorsport circuits in Kent and holds a unique place in British motorsport history as the venue that hosted the world's first ever Rallycross event in 1967. The circuit is compact and characterful โ€” a little over a mile of mixed-surface tarmac set into a natural bowl of Kent countryside, with the Downs rising on the horizon and a genuine sense of place that few working environments can match.

Morning Walkies โ€” The Circuit Route

The circuit walk has quickly become a highlight of a Lydden Hill working day. At 2.67km with a gentle 33m of elevation, it takes around 43 minutes at a comfortable pace โ€” enough time to decompress between calls, work through a problem on your feet, or simply enjoy being outside somewhere genuinely special. Trigger, as ever, had strong opinions about the tyre wall signage.
